Get ready to welcome the first privately-owned R&D Corporate Hub in Sector 75 Dwarka Expressway Gurgaon
18 OCTOBER 2019, 8:30 PM – Alongside Dwarka Expressway Sector 75 in Gurgaon is ready to witness the construction of one of the first state-of-the-art R&D training and innovation center, e-novation Centre. India’s first privately owned R&D corporate hub will be built over 12 acres of area by RSP Developers. The center is a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold rated center with green certification for building design and construction.
The highlights of the project are that it will have 75% open space with a widespread green cover and other healthy environmental practices on campus including waste management, water recycling, renewable energy, etc. This will make it self-sufficient and provide a conducive environment for corporates, institutions, IT companies, and organizations. The centre is also offering several facilities like accelerators, labs, centres of excellence, ITeS units, IT projects and training centres to set up.
Bangalore is going to face stiff competition from Gurgaon as the latter is slowly emerging as the preferred destination for tech companies and R&D labs. Till some time back, cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and even Pune were the preferred R&D hub in India. However, these cities are facing different issues and must handle those challenges. According to Satya Priya Yadav (MD, RSP Developers), NCR, with an untapped pool of talent has developed as an alternate R&D hub.
The start for the e-novation Centre has been great with BMW Group setting up India’s largest automobile training centre in the 1st block. Apart from training, the centre will also serve as a Management, Brand, Sales, Product, Process and Technical Training. The current capacity is approximately 14,000 training man-days per year which can be extended in the future as the infrastructure designed by RSP is future ready.
The centre has six blocks; the 1st is being used currently while the 2nd and 3rd are ready to be occupied. The design of the centre is such that it can be adapted to suit the requirements. Thus, it can be used as office space, blocks, single or multiple floors, standalone building and housing accommodations for walk-to-work. Other highlights of the centre include large floor plate sizes in blocks of 25,000/35,000 and 60,000 sq. ft. that are not available currently for immediate occupancy in Gurugram. The building has been designed with efficient column placing which results in maximum utilization of floor expanse. The recreation areas are thoughtfully planned so as not to disturb the core work units. Another highlight of the centre is the Integrated Building Management System (IBMS) where the future-ready structure is built to cater to any upcoming space requirement. You also get best-in-class in-house facility management here.
Thanks to Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority’s (GMDA) initiatives, the e-novation centre is easily accessible. Development of Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) along the Golf Course Road and the construction of cloverleaf to connect it with Dwarka Expressway provide alternate access to IGI Airport (28 km away via NH-8). The presence of underpasses (two) and flyovers (three) also help ease traffic congestion along SPR making it easier for people to commute to and fro.
