India’s first privately-owned R&D Corporate hub coming up in Delhi NCR
e-novation Centre, India’s First privately-owned R&D Corporate hub, a state-of-the art infrastructure exclusively dedicated to R&D, training and innovation is coming up in the institutional area in Sector 75, Gurugram. Being built in over 12 acres by RSP Developers, the centre is a LEED Gold rated centre, (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design green certification for building design & construction)
The Centre has nearly 75% open space with extensive green cover as well as water recycling, waste management and renewable energy on the campus, making it self-sufficient in all requirements necessary to establish a fertile environment for the corporates, IT companies, institutions and organisations. The e-novation Centre is offering facilities for setting up – accelerators, centres of excellence, labs, IT projects, ITeS units and training centres.
“Gurugram has begun to give competition to Bangalore as a preferred destination for R&D and tech companies. Till recently, the focus for R&D in India was in the south – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune. However, these cities are facing their own challenges now, while the plethora of opportunities and the huge untapped talent pool in the NCR is enabling the NCR to become an R&D hub”, says Satya Priya Yadav, Managing Director, RSP Developers.
The BMW Group has already set up India’s largest automobile training centre in the First block of e-novation Centre. This is also one of the few BMW training centre’s globally – for Management, Brand, Sales, Product, Process and Technical Trainings. It has a current capacity of approximately 14,000 Training Man-days per annum, which is expandable in the future owing to the Future ready infrastructure built by RSP.
e-novation Centre comprises six blocks out of which the First is already in use and operational while the Second and Third are ready for occupying. The Centre is planned in a way that it can adapt to varied requirements, from built-to-suit office space, single floors, multiple floors, blocks, standalone buildings and residential facilities for walk-to-work. Some of the other unique features of the infrastructure are the Large floor plate sizes in the blocks – 25,000/ 35,000 and 60,000 sq ft, which are currently not available for immediate occupancy in Gurugram, efficient column placing to ensure maximum utilisation of floor expanse, thoughtfully planned recreation areas to ensure that the core work units are not disturbed, Integrated Building Management System (IBMS), future-ready infrastructure built to anticipate upcoming needs and endure over time, best-in-class, in-house facility management.
“The e-novation Centre is very strategically located owing to the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority’s (GMDA) initiatives to develop the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) along the lines of Golf Course Road. The planned construction of a cloverleaf to connect the SPR with the Dwarka Expressway, providing an alternate access to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, which is currently 28 kilometres away via NH-8, will prove beneficial to the area. Also, with two underpasses and three flyovers to ease the traffic flow along the SPR, we see a surge in corporates moving to this area”, adds Yadav.
